D for Dance was an event designed for freedom of expression, because who doesn’t love to dance? Unity Mixes wanted to bring together emerging DJs from Aotearoa, and needed a trendy but on brand event identity to match.
I created the concept for the identity, largely inspired by the grittiness of a night out - sparkles, sweat and club stamp on your wrist. This translated into the official poster plus social media collateral and promotion.
The event lived up to the sparkley, messy expectations, and we went on to do a second iteration the following year.
